Beyond the Classroom
Learning doesn't stop at the classroom. Each term brings different opportunities to expand on the EMTM experience.
Annual events include:
- Emerging Technology Series - through the Emerging Technologies Seminar and student-organized events, distinguished guest speakers speak candidly about their organizations, their industries, and lessons learned from successes and failures.
- Global Experience Program — organized with student input, this full-credit elective gives students firsthand exposure to the business and cultural environments of regions that are pivotal drivers in the global economy.
Career development workshops and special offerings — many EMTM students also take advantage of other program-sponsored seminars and workshops, which recently have included:
- Business Plan Writing
- Career Planning Series
- Communications
- Entrepreneurship through Acquisition
- Matlab Fundamentals and Programming Techniques for Financial Applications
- Politics & Networking
- Project Management
Additional events, organizations and activities are open to EMTM students through Penn Engineering and the University of Pennsylvania.
